Olivia’s Virtual Lemonade Stand Raises $608 for Children’s Colorado

Everything has gone virtual in 2020. Why not lemonade stands, too?

On May 5th, Children’s Hospital Colorado’s CMN Champion Olivia participated in the #GivingTuesdayNow initiative by taking her love of lemonade virtual.

“I put it up on Facebook and set it for a lemonade fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation. ” said Olivia’s Mom, Megan. “[I] mentioned that it was Olivia’s dream to have a lemonade stand and we promised her that she could have multiple this spring and summer, but… social distancing.”

But social distancing didn’t stop this young philanthropist, nor did it squash her creativity.

“We resorted to setting a lemonade stand online and asking people to quench their thirst by donating! And Olivia, Milo, and their ‘stuffies’ enjoyed the lemonade for themselves.” said Megan.

After all the work to put this together, Olivia’s supportive community donated a total of $608.00. “Olivia wanted to raise all the money and give the money to Children’s Colorado.”

Following the new norm of digital processes, the conclusion of the fundraiser also included an all-too-adorable thank you video.
